CareAffiliate® Upgrade Scheduled for September 18

On Sept. 18, 2023, Health Net Federal Services, LLC (HNFS) will be converting to an upgraded version of CareAffiliate, our preferred web tool for submitting pre-authorization and referral requests. To prepare for the upgrade, our online referral and authorization submission tools will be unavailable from 9 p.m. PT on Friday, Sept. 15 through 5 a.m. PT on Monday, Sept. 18. Providers and beneficiaries can contact HNFS’ customer service line should they need help with urgent referral needs during this maintenance period.
While core functions will remain the same, with the new version of CareAffiliate you’ll notice:
- Updated color schemes
- New icons and tabs
- Changes to how you navigate to certain features
Please note: When entering the date in the “Service from the date” field within CareAffiliate, you will not be able to enter a past date. Doing so will cause an error. The system will no longer allow for backdated entries.
