American Psychiatric Association Annual Meeting: Military-Focused Sessions Offered

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. During this month, take a moment to remind patients about the importance of taking care of their mental health. TRICARE covers mental health care and has resources to assist patients in getting the care they need.
Additionally, this month, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) hosts its annual conference. As a provider who may see TRICARE patients, your awareness of military mental health standards and understanding of how and when to consult with military psychiatrists for specific issues are important components of care.
